DACA

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)

Students who hold DACA status for 12 consecutive months prior to the semester/term which they seek to be considered in-state status may be eligible to receive in-state tuition to attend UMD. Students will need to have the DACA status (Notice of Action - I-797 document from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) AND demonstrate having met all 9 of the criteria established by the Board of Regents for a period of at least 12 consecutive months immediately prior to the first day for registration for the semester for which in-state status is sought in order to be eligible. Students that hold DACA should not request to be considered under the Maryland Dream Act.
